This is a great tip. Another tip for helping to know if individual sentences flow well is to read the article one sentence at a time from the bottom to the top. You lose the flow of the paragraph, but you focus on the sentences more. Catches small errors. Tip Credibility: 12

Know your audience. Outline what you want to say. That will make the words flow more easily. Then proofread and edit yourself and have someone else read it, too. A fresh pair of eyes will catch more mistakes than yours alone. Tip Credibility: 4
