Tip Sheet

Many people don't like the taste of ripe or browned bananas, but there is a way to enjoy them and make something delicious too. Just slice them up and put them in the blender with other fruit, sauces, milk/yogourt to make a delicious banana milkshake.

Ripe bananas - Slice the banana with the skin on, spread peanut butter over the sliced banana, put the two pieces back together, peel the skin off and hey presto - tastes like chocolate!!!

Peel banana and freeze in a baggy. Add frozen banana to smoothies. It gives a smooth consistency and mild flavor. Especially good in green smoothies.

Use ripe bananas in a brownie recipe, while not including the chocolate. Banana brownies are good and much like banana bread, but you can use the brownie recipe to make them into smaller sizes, rather than bread size.
