Tip Sheet

Brushing too hard is really tough on your gums. A light fast touch is better than trying to grind the scum off the teeth. The 45 degree angle when holding the brush against your teeth helps also. Gum Health is very important.

Of all the times we can brush, BEFORE BED is the best! That way, our teeth aren't coated with food and plaque all night while we sleep, promoting decay. Brush at other times too if you want, but never miss a good 4-minute brushing/swishing before bed.

i totally agree. if you feel like your gums are receding at all, gentler brushing and other oral health practices may see your gums back to normal. that's how it happened with me. the canines are typically the most distinctive gum problem areas.
