Tip Sheet

If you're looking for an enviromentally friendly flooring solution than consider cork flooring; it's as durable as oak flooring without the need to chop down the tree; the bark is stripped every 10 years and the process is repeated for 100s of years.

Solid oak flooring is known to be highly porous which makes it easier to stain and as a result solid oak flooring can be purchased in a variety of colors to suit any room in your home.

I prefer engineered oak flooring because it looks far better, with a longer wider board and it does not move like solid oak boards especially with underfloor heating or in a damp situation. Very easy to fit.

Engineered oak flooring can handle the harsh climatic demands that traditional oak flooring cannot which makes it great for sunrooms, etc.
