Tip Sheet

Flossing may be a hassle, but consider this: Since a full 40% of our tooth surfaces are between the teeth, where a brush can't reach, if we ONLY brush, we're only getting 60% (a little over half) of our teeth clean. Try that with your clothes or dishes!

Flossing is little known outside North America. Concentrate on regular teeth cleaning. As far as any form of cost-benefit analysis goes, flossing is a bonus, but far from top of a prioritised list.

Flossing is a must. I make sure all my kids floss after every meal. Of course, some of my kids do anything to get out of flossing and succeed...but not more than 2-3 days :)
