If you're diabetic, you might want to consider eliminating potatoes from your diet as well. Some experts say that you could bake a potato, scoop out the insides and fill it with sugar and you're getting the same thing. It's something to consider.

Sugar is no different biochemically than high-fructose corn syrup. They both contain fructose which is the bad element and is responsible for the obesity epidemic and the metabolic syndrome.
