Not universally praise any product. No product is perfect. People reading reviews expect a mixture of pros and cons for any product, otherwise they will be suspicious.

Review multiple products. Include a clear comparative table showing features of the different products mapped against one another. This allows prospective buyers to see at a glance the pros and cons of each.

Actually buy the products you're reviewing, this way you can point to specific parts of likes and dislikes making your opinion the one to trust.

You should definitely build a list. This way, you can give a negative review to a bad product and still find a way to profit from a visitor.

On MisterPeachPresents, I try to give my personal opinion along with 5 other random testimonials from around the web. Using these 6 reviews, the product then receives an overall rating. Rarely does it get a "peachy" rating!
