To save money on family trips eat only breakfast out. Breakfast is either free at a number of motels or inexpensive compared to other meals. Pack a cooler or use the microwave at the motel for other meals.

Buy food stuff on supermarket once you arrive in a city. You can save a lot by buying at supermarket any food supplies (the simple ones that you don't have to cook) that you need for few days.

If you're eating out for dinners, be sure to take the leftovers home for snacks or breakfast later.

Look for restaurants that offer Kids eat free. Adults can order a large meal off the menu and split it.
