| For interior home plaster repair, the most user friendly material to use is not plaster, but drywall joint compound. There is a variety for every purpose, whether it be cracks, holes, skim coating rough walls or ceilings. Just made for the DIY person. Tip Credibility: 38 |
| With a hole of more than an inch or so, you will need some kind of backing for your repair to stick to. With wood lath behind, you can just fill the hole with quick set joint compound, or qlue a piece of thin drywall into place, then fill around the edges Tip Credibility: 38 |
