Wear protective gear: helmet, boots, padded jacket and pants plus gloves to help keep your own hide intact. Sneakers and shorts feel good, but aren't any good on a motorcycle.

If you don't feel good - don't ride! Riding a motorcycle takes your full concentration - if you're ill, hungover, mad at someone, take a walk instead. You'll be safer, getting healthier and will be back to ride another day!
