Start by reducing your sodium intake. This alone is a great way for you to decrease your risks of being diagnosed with high blood pressure, and if you already have elevated blood pressure you can lower it this way.

If you already have high blood pressure, keep your kidneys healthy. Drink lots of water daily, and add asparagus and cranberry juice to your regular diet; both will help flush your kidneys and keep them free of toxins.
