You can lose weight by burning more calories than you eat. It is simple math to figure out how to lose weight. I think most people have problems with the motivation and dedication that it takes to lose weight. Therefore, make your mind strong first.

Do both at same time, how? by burning fat which make you lose weight and build muscle which make gain weight. Eat balanced meal with good amount of protein and do weight lifting 2-3 times a week.
