Make sure you get enough protein in your diet. A minimum of .8 g per lb of your body weight. Protein is more satiating than carbohydrate or fat so you won't feel as hungry and prone to overeat.

Cut back on carbos. However if you are having carbos (like bread or potatoes) with a meal, have several bites of the protein (meat,cheese,etc.) before you eat the carbos. This helps to minimize the hunger effects of the carbos.

Change the size of your plates, we all too often have big plates, eat slower and chew your food it doesn't need to be a race, eat more fibre and calorie dense foods one's thst contain water, have soup it tends to fill you up due to the fluid content
