#1 Find the quietest place you can #2 wear loose fitting clothes #3 sit comfortably on a chair or on the floor with a straight back #4 close your eyes #5 slow down your breath, feeling the breath go in and out #6 focus on the breath, continue, calm mind

When doing breath meditation, focus on "filling" stomach area, then chest, then nasal. Exhale in reverse. If stray thoughts pass by, dismiss and go back to focusing on filling stomach, then chest, then nasal. Soon this will become habit.
