Nest time your teenager challenges the house rules, curfew etc, don't fly off the handle!. It just means that they are starting to think for themselves and want to work things out. Explaining and raesoning is more effective than just getting angry.

I still have the three strikes your out program with mine. One is a warning, two is something they get taken away, or a swat, or cant go spend the night at a friends house, three is all three. Then we sit down for a face to face chat. It works for me.
