Tip Sheet

Play smart golf. Think about the hole, try hitting an iron or utility wedge off the tee vice always hitting the big stick. Try to visualize hitting the fairway, then use a club you know you can hit well and do it. Listen not to your golf buddies.

When putting, Make sure your grip is in your palm and not your fingers. Using your fingers will tend to cause you to use your wrist to putt the ball. You will have no distance control.

Most amateur golfers lock their wrists during their swing, trying to hit the ball too hard. Looser wrists give you more power without the necessity of the club going back too far which, in turn, also allows you to hit the ball with greater control.

On each hole track your fairways hit, putts, greens in regulation, up and downs, and sand saves. See what needs work then focus more on that in your practice session. Keep doing this and it will firm up all aspects of your game.

Improve your putting by keeping your grip loose and swinging with your shoulders like a pendulum. This help you go through the ball better and down the line.
