People are different, so the best thing is to keep a log of which foods give you problems. Fuits, spicy food, garlic, onions, tomato products and bread are common culprits. So are sugary foods and sodas.

I used to have indigestion pretty bad every night until I started eating part of a dill pickle or drinking some of the pickle juice before going to bed. Or mix up some apple cider vinegar, water and honey and drink a couple ounces of that before bedtime.
