Skim milk powder and whey protein concentrate are both high-protein foods, which can easily be added to banana smoothies with youhurt, a kiwifruit or feijoa, soy milk, a raw egg, and a little olive oil. Try it 15-30 minutes after exercie, never before.

Regular milk doesn't work for everyone as some folks can not digest it. Try soy milk in it's place. Learn to eat according to your blood type to avoid diet disasters.

Canned tuna is an excellent food for building muscle, as it is both full of protein and conveniently packed to eat after the gym (so long as you remember to carry a can opener).

Nuts contain protein and also contain fat, which (regulated) is essential in any diet, and especially helpful when trying to maintain a calorie surplus. A slice of bread with peanut butter is also a good quick snack as it has protein, carbs, and fats.

Milk. The protein in milk is about 80% whey and 20%casein. Whey is quickly broken down into amino acids & this makes milk an excellent drink. Casein is digested more slowly, providing your body with a constant supply protein over time.

Lean chicken meat. Go for the breast portion. Chicken meat is rich in protein, which is needed to repair your damaged muscles after a workout.
