Tip Sheet

With a new cat sit on the floor and reach out with your hand, palm up, keeping it BELOW the cat's head. She will 'nose you'. Stay still, don't make any sudden movements. I've had cats all my life, including nervous 'rescues'. Works every time.

Don't let your hands become a toy for your cat. You'll avoid scratches later if you play with your kittens and cats with a toy (feathers, whatever) on a stick.
