Tip Sheet

Most flat tires on bicycles are caused by low tire pressure. Proper Tire pressure is different for different widths of tires. Usually the wider the tire the lower the pressure. Recommended pressure is always on the side of the tire.

Fat Tire Tire pressure is usually 30-55 lbs, Narrow tires 50-70 lbs and skinny race tires 80-120 lbs. Be sure to check the pressure range on the side of the tire. Do not overfill your tires, the blowout is very loud.

Air up your 90 lbs or higher tires before every ride. I have a high pressure Foot pump with a gauge sitting right next to my Road Bike. Middleweight and wide tires need to be filled every month.

My Bicycle tire says 100 to 120 lbs. It rolls really easy when I have it pumped up to 120. My bike rides much easier with higher pressure in my tires.
