Band Exercises work great. If you attach a band to a door you can adjust the resistance by moving closer or farther from the door.

Heart rate monitors are great. They can help you keep motivated and tell you if you are progressing. Learn to find your Max heartrate and then with your monitor keep your workouts in the range you set for the day.

If possible breathe for as long as possible through your nose, this helps to filter the air going into the lungs and minimizes the effects of air pollution.

The best way to warm up is to start doing the same exercise you are going to use for the workout at an easy pace for a few minutes. This way the muscles that are going to get used are properly warmed up.

While most people think of cardio as running cycling etc, dancing is a great way to get fit,lose weight and have fun. Try to dance non-stop for 15 minutes and I think you'll agree with me.

Mix up your aerobic sessions by doing different exercises, your body gets used to the same exercise if its done over and over again and you won't burn the same amount of calories.

No type of aerobic exercise is better than any others. As long as you're breathing quickly and breaking out a sweat your heart won't know the difference.

If you are training to an aerobic workout video, watch it before beginning to exercise. This helps to familiarize the workout first and you will be able to successfully follow along with the program without possibly injuring or straining yourself.

Have you got the right clothes for exercise? You want clothes that are comfortable and allow a lot of movement. Your trainers are also important you may need plenty of grip plus and allow your feet to breathe.

Make sure you cool down after you aerobic session.By winding down after exercise it helps the blood to return from the extremities, and it helps to cut down on muscle stiffness because it allows the metabolic wastes to be worked out of your muscles.

Use light hand weights occasionally during your aerobic workout this helps to increase the calories burned and help to tone and build muscle at the same time.

High intensity interval training (HIIT) causes your metabolism to be elevated for up to 24 hours after the workout is over. The increase in metabolism from HIIT is much higher and lasts much longer than the increase from traditional aerobic exercise.
