When selecting a cat carrier always get one with an opening at both ends and if possible with a third opening on top. You will understand why if you ever try to get a scared cat out of a carrier with only one opening.

I absolutely agree. Please don't think you can just carry your cat to the vet in your arms...they get spooked and get lose and you've lost your cat!
