The latest tips I've posted to TipDrop.
Focus on creating experiences rather than spending money. Look for ways to connect more deeply with family and friends, for example, a family picnic can be much more fun than just going out to lunch. Same meal, different experience. Tip Credibility: 17
Be patient. You didn't put the weight on overnight, and it probably won't disappear (for good!) overnight either. Focus on other ways to measure your weight loss success than only the number on the scale. Tip Credibility: 5
I think it depends on how long the silence lasts and whether it feels temporary or permanent. It's important not to rush to conclusions that the relationship is over just because one person may temporarily need a bit of quiet time and space. Tip Credibility: 5
Leave comments on other blogs in your niche. Not only will you get a link back, and traffic, you can start making connections with other key players for joint ventures and community building. Tip Credibility: 7
Rehearse your presentations while watching yourself in the mirror. Not only will you learn your content better, but you can watch for any strange body motions or gestures which detract from your message, resulting in a more confident on-stage presence. Tip Credibility: 5
Start small. Speak to small groups first and gain some comfort there before starting to speak to larger groups. Tip Credibility: 7
London, England. So much history, lots of green space, cool nightlife, fantastic theater. The food isn't much, and neither is the weather, but it remains one of my top 5 most enjoyable cities. Tip Credibility: 5
Start a blog and use it to share good content and to promote your expertise and your business. All your social media efforts should focus on sending people back to your blog to learn more. Tip Credibility: 4
Reduce the amount of time you spend worrying and fretting. Take action as soon as possible when something is bothering you. Worry can become a habit if you constantly do it, and stresses your brain and body. Tip Credibility: 7
If you're on Windows, do weekly disk cleanup and disk defragmentation. Get here from the system tools or accessories tab. This will help your hard drives function faster and will speed up information access time. Tip Credibility: 6
Check with your local state department of assessments and taxation to make sure your business name isn't already taken. Do this early on so you're not disappointed. Tip Credibility: 6
See if the company is on Twitter. If so, use this platform to explain your complaints and ask for a solution. I did this successfully just recently with my internet and cable provider. Tip Credibility: 4
You can find content partners and possible joint ventures by noting who is publishing the same kinds of content you are. Tip Credibility: 6
Offer your content for reprint with full attribution and a link back to your site. Consider guest blogging for others with a link back to your site. Tip Credibility: 6
Your VA has many skills that you don't (and shouldn't take time to learn.) Plus it's really terrific to be able to turn something over to your VA and have it completed while you're working on other things. You're essentially doubling your output. Tip Credibility: 4
Be specific about who owns what and ask for all samples, templates, and full document files in case you need to make any changes later. This is important when you outsource graphic work too. Tip Credibility: 4
Once per quarter, review your business expenses. Look for places where you can consolidate or trim down. Ask for discounts for paying in cash or buying in bulk. Use technology to automate as much as possible. Tip Credibility: 5
I use membership sites in my business to cultivate my very best clients. By sending people through my membership site first, they learn the basics and we can focus advanced topics in our meetings. They make faster progress, too. Tip Credibility: 4
Focus on creating a spiderweb of links that point back to you. Use multiple sites to build your reputation and ranking for key terms. When you do this successfully, you are seen as the #1 expert in your niche area. It takes time, but it's worth it. Tip Credibility: 5
Imagine you needed to comfort a good friend who was going through this situation. What would you say and recommend? Then take your own good advice. We often gain perspective by looking at the situation from someone else's viewpoint. Tip Credibility: 4
Be sure to mention that you're an expert in the topic (if you are.) People pay more attention to experts. It takes about 1000 hours of practice to be really good at something. 10,000 hours to master it. Tip Credibility: 5
If you do any coaching or consulting, pay attention to what questions you get asked over and over again. If they are basic, this might be a good topic for an introductory product to your list. Tip Credibility: 5
Intelligent and useful commenting on relevant blogs. You can find these by doing a search for keyword + blog. Read the entries. Add something helpful and useful. This will give you a link back and traffic to your site. Aim to leave 15-20 comments a day. Tip Credibility: 4
Tell stories-- they make your client results or biggest outcomes come alive. Use visuals and graphics to support your point. People love actionable information they can use right away- especially if its easy to apply. Tip Credibility: 5
Activate your social networks. Reach out to everyone you know, in ever widening circles, to build your base for leads and resources. Connect people with each other, and ask them to return the favor for you. Tip Credibility: 4
