| If your dog does mess in the house, don't rub their noses in it. That does no good in teaching them, it only makes them fearful. You only have about 3 seconds to reprimand or praise your dog from the time they did the action. Tip Credibility: 4 |
| Watch for signs that your dog has to potty, such as pacing, sitting by the door, whining. You will especially need to look for these signs after they have just played vigorously. Tip Credibility: 4 |

| Keep your dog in a crate when you are not home or busy and give them a little bit of water when you let them out. As soon as they are done drinking, take them straight outside to potty. Tip Credibility: 4 |
| It's a great idea to carry treats on you in a pouch on your hip. That way, you are always ready to reward them. Tip Credibility: 4 |
| You always want to reward your dog for going potty outside. Go out there with them and give them a treat as soon as they are done going potty. You only have a couple of seconds from when they potty, so always have treats within easy reach. Tip Credibility: 4 |
