Toy Story, one of the most innovative animated films of its time. Great storyline for kids and adults and great lesson about friendship. Tip Credibility: 6
We like to buy a copy of the newspaper for the day the baby was born and include it with the baby gifts. It's really neat to be able to look back many years from now and see what was going on ... Tip Credibility: 8
Put on a pair of dress socks underneath your cotton socks. The dress socks will create a barrier that prevents blisters from appearing on your feet. We did this in the army for 20-mile hikes and were very happy with the blister free results. Tip Credibility: 8
If you run out of matches or need extra long ones and can't find them, try lighting a piece of spaghetti on the stove. It will burn long enough for you to light several candles. Tip Credibility: 6
If you seal an envelope and need to open it up again, place it in the freezer for 1-2 hours. It should easily unseal. Tip Credibility: 6
Begin by pushing the nail through an index card. Then hold the edge of the card and put the nail in place when you are ready to hammer. You should be able to hammer without hitting your fingers. Tip Credibility: 5
After you purchase cake frosting from the store, take your mixer and whip it for couple of minutes. You can almost double the size and frost more cupcakes or cakes with the same sized can. You will also eat less suger and fewer calories per serving. Tip Credibility: 13
Place a wide rubberband around the lid so that you get a good grip when you twist. The most stubborn of lids can be opened this way. Having trouble finding a rubberband that is big enough? Check your broccoli. The rubberband there should do the trick. Tip Credibility: 7
Wash it in the dishwasher. Use the top rack and set it right side up. Use normal dishwasher detergent and run through the entire wash cycle. DON'T USE THE DRY CYCLE. Use something like a coffee can to dry it. Tip Credibility: 5
Competition, Rewards and a lot of Praise. Set up your competitions so everyone has a chance to win at some point. Small rewards (stick of gum) work well and always praise the kids for working hard! Tip Credibility: 8
| Keep your wrapping paper in the legs of old pantyhose. This allows you to keep the paper neat and organized and will prevent it from wrinkling and/or tearing. Hang in the closet until needed.
Tip Credibility: 14 |
Take them on a date every wk/mo. This allows 1 on 1 time and creates a special memory for them to cherish. It can be as mundane as a trip for ice cream or as extravagant as you want. Most importantly, make them feel special and communicate with them. Tip Credibility: 7
Whether they are real or artificial, dampen lightly a microfiber cloth and wipe over the leaves. An added benefit if you are dusting live plants is that you will be adding a bit of moisture to them. Tip Credibility: 7
Add a small amount of your preferred scented oil (Try peppermint or eucalyptus) to a lightbulb when it is cool. After the light is turned on, the scent will be noticeable throughout the room. Tip Credibility: 6
Use a soft cloth and carefully clean the disc by wiping from the center out to the edge. Do not use a circular motion to clean, this may damage any data on the disc. Tip Credibility: 6
Rub a few drops of liquid glycerin into stubborn stains. Then work on the stain with your normal stain remover or laundry detergent. Use cold water for the first wash, then wash normally. Tip Credibility: 6
Take several different sizes of water bottles and freeze them. Add the needed sizes to your ice chest to keep your food cold. Then when they melt, you can drink the water. Tip Credibility: 11
Stay calm and remove any audience if possible. Let the child calm themselves down then explain that due to the meltdown there will be consequences. You must be 100% consistent to succeed. Tip Credibility: 36
Feed your children healthy meals and take them outside to play everyday. Limit "screen time" (video games, tv, computer) and candy/cokes/McDonalds to a moderate level. Parents need to go outside and play (bike, swim, run, catch) with their children. Tip Credibility: 7
Use their technique to your advantage. They will leave and then come back with the best offer their boss will allow. Use your spouse as your "boss" and call him/her with their offer. Then let them know that your boss won't let you spend that much. Tip Credibility: 8
Keep your eye on the ball. Try to pickup the ball as soon as it leaves the pitchers hand. Watch it all the way until it hits the bat or goes into the catcher's mitt. Tip Credibility: 7
Practice good mechanics. Use soft toss, a batting tee, batting cages and live pitching to practice and refine your swing. Remember practice doesn't make perfect, Perfect Practice makes perfect. Tip Credibility: 7
When processing Credit Cards use http://ip-lookup.net and enter in the ip address that you are receiving the payment from. If it is a foreign country or isn't close to the cc address entered, you would want to contact the customer. Tip Credibility: 7
Seek to understand, THEN be understood. Do not try to be the winner of the argument, but look for a "win-win" situation. Solve the problem together. Anger is natural and is designed to attack the problem, not the person. Tip Credibility: 8
Baby clothes can be found at almost any large block/garage sale. For older kids by pants that are too large and hem them up. Then let them out as the kids grow. For Jackets buy them too large during the spring when they are on sale. Tip Credibility: 17
